Happy New Year!

The Salona 37 has won Sailing World Magazine’s Boat of the Year Award 2007 for Best Cruiser/Racer. After thorough inspections and test sails of the 19 nominated boats, an independent panel of experts selected the Salona 37 as the winner of the Cruiser/Racer category.

In an article published in Sailing World January/February 2007, judges were impressed with the stainless steel structural grid in the bilge, cockpit layout, ease of sailing and acceleration, ability to quickly switch between cruising and racing modes and the overall fit and finish of the Salona 37.

“It is an honor for the Salona 37 to win the coveted Sailing World Boat of the Year award,” said Matthew Brunner, Director of Salona Yachts. “Just getting through the nomination process is a success; to be recognized as the best is extraordinary. The award is the culmination of hard work by everybody involved with the Salona 37 – the team at the AD Boats factory in Croatia, the designers at J&J Design, and our Mid-Atlantic dealer, Bollard Yachts. This award confirms Salona's proposition that it is possible to have elegant, well fitted accommodations in a high-performance cruiser-racer.”
