From the “truth really is stranger than fiction” category comes this video interview with the lost skipper of the HMS Bountry replica from this past August. We opined that the true reason for the poor decisions leading to death and sinking might be forever lost with the skipper, but we were wrong: It turns out the cause was simple: Captain was an idiot, and his idea of seamanship (“we chase hurricanes…try to get as close to the eye as possible”) led to the death of at least one person and the loss of a vessel.
