Mscan Mail
For some of you this may be the first time you read Mscan Mail, CombiTech's
newsletter. Although many editions have been published, this is the first
one that is dedicated entirely to the reception of weather charts and
satellite photos. You have received this newsletter because you are a
registered user of one of our meteo programs, or because you have asked us
to send you this newsletter.
Mscan Meteo v1.0
Maybe you already know Mscan 1.3, or one of its meteo versions. Although
this program was originally developed for radio amateurs, it is also used
by a lot of people interested in the weather. Mscan has grown to be one of
the most popular programs used in the world of ham radio. We have however
been testing your patience, as the
new Mscan programs do not have support for receiving weatherfax. Your
patience is now rewarded with the release of Mscan Meteo!
Mscan Meteo v1.0 is the program for Windows 95 & 98 to receive and view
weather charts and satellite photos in very high resolution. Reception is
fully automated: the program flawlessly detects the transmitted mode and
stores images fully automatic. If you want it will also delete these images
for you after a programmable number of days. Ofcourse you can view the
received images and make a hardcopy of them, during or after reception.
Because the program is fully multi tasking, you can run Mscan Meteo in the
background while the PC is performing other tasks.
Mscan Meteo v1.0 runs on every Windows 95 & 98 (portable) PC with a Pentium
100 processor and Multiscan interface. Third party interfaces like HariFax,
PTC-II and EasyDSP are also supported.
Mscan Meteo Lite
At your request you can receive a free copy of Mscan Meteo Lite when
ordering the Multiscan modem (kit or assembled). Mscan Meteo Lite is a
fully functional evaluation version which can also be downloaded from our
web site at
www.mscan.com.

registered user of another Mscan program you only pay fl. 50 (US$ 26). The
Multiscan modem is available as kit (fl. 120 / US$ 63) or fully assembled
