Designed for the asymmetrical spinnaker, the inexpensive Tacker allows you to fly a conventional (symmetrical) spinnaker without a spinnaker pole, like an asymmetrical spinnaker, (commonly known as a cruising chute/gennaker, MPS). The patented Tacker holds the spinnaker tack close to the centerline of the boat by sliding over the furled headsail and can be adjusted up and down with the downhaul/tack line.
It prevents chafing the tack line on the lifelines, bending stanchions and gives you maximum control over the luff of the spinnaker. Its snap shackle allows you to "blow the spinnaker tack" before lowering the Spinnaker Sleeve. Combine the Tacker with the Spinnaker Sleeve, and flying the spinnaker becomes a breeze.
