nosotros tenemos montado un transceptor Ais, el CSB200,integrado en un raymarine C120 con radar de 24 millas, va muy bien, de lujo, desde Sao Vicente, cuando bajamos el barco de bilbao paraalgeciras pillabamos barcos en el estrecho. Peeeeero, tenemos un problema Houston. algunos barcos no nos ven algunos datos,como por ejemplo el nombre, si nos ven, rumbo velocidad, psn, mmsi... asi que escribi a la casa y esto es lo que me contestaron: espero que pronto donde curro actualicen el software, si no le pegare un tiron de orejas al jefe

The problem is to do with the new specification for the Class B. The unit transmits 2 type of messages:

Message type 18 Dynamic information: MMSI, position, speed, heading
Message type 24 Static information : Name. type of vessel, callsign and dimensions.

The type 18 message was in the original Class A specification so all vessels and shore monitoring normally show this information.
The type 24 message was new in the Class B specification so a lot of Class A vessels and shore monitoring do not decode this message.

The answer is that the Class A units and shore monitoring stations need to obtain software upgrades from their suppliers to enable them to decode type 24 messages.
