If you want to sail the PDRacer efficiently you need to sit in the right place.
Sailors with a racing background know that when the wind is light (not very strong) a small amount of heel can help performance.
The PDRacer cannot be heeled much because of the problem. But in light wind it is very fast because of the large sail size.
When the wind is strong the mast bends to make the sail flatter. Which allows me to sail easily when the wind is 25knots.
The purpose of the boats is for a cheap simple boat. We built two for $350 each (Australian $ are around 0.9 USA dollars).
