No sé,

Pictures of ocean conditions are often times deceiving. Here is my take:
the boat is not in the bottom of the trough, the wave is at least 6 or 7
feet high
and more likely in reality the average waves are 8-9 feet with
occasional 10-12. It is not wave height that is the problem it is wave
steepness. This is wind chop from winds of say 20-30 blowing over an
area of at least a couple of hundred miles, such waves are shorter
period and steeper than waves which have escaped the generation area;
generally called swell.
The loss of stabilization in similar yachts will come as more than a
rude shock to most owners. Boats with excess weight up top, like
tenders, anchors, gas cans, food, tools, will cause excess rolling which
is uncomfortable if not dangerous. The installation of stabilizers to
compensate for this rolling is delusional if the stabilizers fail, which
occurred in this case; or, if the speed is reduced to below the
necessary minimum. There is some mention of the possibility of having to
abandon the boat. Such talk should be discouraged. The first order of
business is "to fly the plane".
vete tú a saber
posible.
