Yo mediría el voltaje que te llega a la VHF cuando trasmites.
Me da la sensación que con el 'frio' en marcha, si sumas el consumo de la VHF trasmitiendo con 25W, tu instalación no tenga sección de cable suficiente hasta tus baterías y provoque una caida de tensión, y por tanto una trasmisión initeligible.

comprueba, de paso, que la batería esté bien cargada (>= 13,2 V en vacío o con el densímetro).
