Re: fotos saliendo del puerto con fuerza 9
Hola:
El texto que acompaña al reportaje en SA es el siguiente:
This guy decided to commence a passage from here (Southport on Australia's Gold Coast) north to Yeppoon yesterday. The forecast was for seas 9 to 10 mtrs. There was a storm warning out and the wind at the time had been recorded at 68 kts at the seaway - just under hurricane force. He attempted to go out the Seaway at 3pm yesterday. The engine apparently failed as the yacht was launched. The guy and his crew somehow managed to turn back into the Seaway, unfurl some of the genoa and sail back in. The police welcomed them back into port. Charges may be laid! (el subrayado es mío)
Hoy cuentan esto:
Yesterday, we published the tale of the lucky guys who went out of Southport, Australia in a storm and were lucky to make it back to port; others weren’t so lucky. Two guys in a 13 meter wooden boat, Bide a Wee, left Sydney’s North Harbour under sail and ended up on the rocks at Grotto Point, near Dobroyd Head. Boats were both unable to reach the two men on the stranded yacht, because of wild waves and strong wind, so a police helicopter had to winch them to safety. The men did not appear to be injured, but were flown to Manly Hospital as a precaution; we guess Bide a Wee is terminal. Photo from Christophe Launay and more of the sad sight here. (link con unas fotos desgarradoras)
Una ronda para todos para reponerse del susto!
