Please see attached final version of the AC72 Class Rule. Many refinements have been made to the rule after receiving over 500 comments, and as a result of further input from our rule advisers and consultants.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to this process.

Since the previous preliminary draft released Oct 6, the following changes have been made:

• Modified introductory statements
• Updated definitions
• Modified limitations on appendages
• Removed sails from sailing weight rule
• Modified hull height volume minimums
• Added provisions for fairings aft of cross structure
• Added provisions and rules for a short wing
• Modified height limitations on cross structure and the wing rotation point
• Modified limitations on wing spar lengths
• Modified the wing measurement grid Appendix D and clarified wing measurement procedures
• Eliminated limitations on wing axes of rotation
• Modified wing weight and cg limitations
• Modified sail dimensions and definitions
• Modified sail hoist point dimensions and definitions
• Modified limits on battens
• Reduced hull fiber modulus limit to 245 Gpa
• Added core density minimums for hull outer shell
• Updated inspection and measurement rules
• Added measurement certificate Appendix A
• Updated hull symmetry and hull height diagram Appendix C
