Tengo una antena exterior de tipo "SETA", Garmin.
Se me ha roto el cable coaxial justo a la salida.
¿Algún amable experto sabe como desmontarla?
He intentado mover la parte superior pero no hay manera.
En el foro antiguo hay un cofrade que le paso lo mismo, se trata de BRIAN, quisiera si esta por el foro, me comentara si pudo conseguir algo,

Hola, si tienes el manual de la antena suele venir como se monta, entonces lo haces al reves y ya lo tienes. Si no tienes el manual puedes probar a poner el modelo de la antena en el Google y seguro que sale alguno, o los esquemas de montaje. En el manual suele venir el tornillo que hay que desmontar, hacia donde gira el soporte, etc.

El modelo es el GA 29 pero creo que venia con el cable montado, es esta:

en el conector se puede cortar y poner uno nuevo, donde necesito es dentro de la propia seta, que es donde se ha roto.

Hola!! En la parte de la seta hay tres tornillos, si los desenroscas podrás sacar la parte superior de la seta. Me parece que ya tendrás acceso al conector interior.
Aqui se ven los tornillos y la parte superior desmontada.

Si en ese modelo si, esa es la GA 30 que es la equivalente, la mía no tiene tornillos, he encontrado esto en un foro americano y lo voy a intentar

Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 553 Re: Garmin GA 28 Antenna Repair Help, Please Sounds like a GA29 which was a replacement for the GA28. If this is the antenna, then yes, it can be opened up. I'm a service tech and have replaced the coax in many of these antenna's. It is no simple task. The top part of the antenna does unscrew but the threads are coated with silicone rubber. You will have to open it with a strap wrench which means you need to make a special mount to hold the lower section of the antenna as it takes a lot of torque to get the top to start turning loose from the rubber. I used an old brass 1"-14 thread mount that I drilled and tapped a 1/4-20 hole into the side of the threads. I screw this up into the base of the antenna and align the tapped hole with the slot in the side of the antenna to allow me to put a bolt in. Then clamp the modified mount into a vise. This allows you to unscrew the top without allowing the antenna to just unscrew from the mount. Your not likely going to be able to just clamp the lower part of the antenna into a vice as a tremendous amount of torque is needed to get the top loose. You can try it, but you might just end up crushing/damaging the lower part of the antenna in doing so. Once you get it open, you have to unsolder a small circuit board that the cable connector is directly soldered to. Then you can get to the nut that holds the connector to the base. You will also need to find a replacement crimp ferrule to be able to re-crimp the braid of the coax to the connector which also means you should have the proper crimp tool, and you have to trim down the cable dielectric in order to fit up into the connector when you redo the cable end.

BTW, you first have to remove a small screw which is under a label on the underside of the antenna before trying to unscrew the top. This allows air to equalize inside the unit.

Ya me extrañaba que unos tornillos tan evidentes no los hubieras visto, pero en fin podía ser. Perdona la foto, pero incluso en la pagina de Garmin me venia como G29, la intención era buena pero.... Bueno ya se una cosa mas. por lo que he leído te espera un trabajo fino y delicado.

Resuelto el tema, sujetando muy bien la base sin que se rompa, yo he utilizado un tubo para meter por dentro con unos pasadores que atraviesan la base y el tubo, sujetando bien el tubo en un tornillo, y con las manos he conseguido girar la parte superior, una vez hecho esto lo demás sin problemas soldar el cable con cuidado y a funcionar.

No tengo fotos pues ya esta montado, te lo explico:

en la foto pero sin cable metí un tubo de aluminio por el hueco donde sale el cable de un diámetro casi parecido, en la seta donde señalo con las flechas laterales tiene dos orificios, taladre el tubo de aluminio y metí un pasador metálico que atravesara los dos orificios de la seta y el tubo, donde esta la flecha central taladre también el tubo sin traspasarlo y metí otro pasador, de esta forma quedo firme y solo sujete el sobrante inferior del tubo de aluminio a un tornillo de banco de trabajo, con las manos y con cuidado afloje la tapa superior de la seta.
