Hola a todos, lo correcto y lo legal al menos en la mayoria de paises, es colocar valvulas de cierre en las dos salidas al medidor, al igual que el tubo de medicion ha de estar protegido por algun tipo de carcasa.
Las valvulas (grifos) se abren para mirar el nivel y acto seguido se cierran y permanecen asi hasta que se vuelva a consultar el nivel, asegurandose asi la ausencia de fugas debidas a un accidente, rotura, etc.. Por supuesto no estan permitidos estos niveles en tanques de gasolina. However, BS EN ISO 10088 allows their use on diesel tanks only provided that they are protected against physical damage and that damage does not lead to the loss of the contents of the tank. This is achieved by the use of a shield or cage, or by robust design, and by the incorporation of self closing valves which means that the gauge is only open to the tank when the operator is in attendance at the gauge.
