Brandon,
I must have missed it, what is the story here? Sure hurts to see an F235 go this way.

When I decided to initially get the boat I wanted to fix it but also left open the possibility to strip her. I started to fix her and that was the tentative plan. I knew there were going to be issues with title as I bought it without one. I got the area in the interior cleaned out to fix where the fiberglass damage was. At that point SCDNR was telling me 11 months to get a title, but I spoke to someone who had went throught the process and said it didn't take that long. (just got a letter from SCDNR, the boat had a lein on her) Before I got to deep in the boat, I realistically sat down and figured the cost to repair everything, I was coming anywhere from $6,000 to $7,000. The last few basic boats sold around that price, and with or without a title It wasn't worth my time and money to make a grand or two. I would much rather spend that time sailing and working on Pi and I still should be able to make enough from striping the boat to either buy a new main or the materials to build a trailer for Pi, plus the rudder, stanchion bases and other parts I needed. So financially it just made sense. I've already made back what the boat initially cost plus a litttle extra, I'm going to put the mast and boom on ebay if it doesn't sell on craigslist in the next few weeks.
