Todo el mundo está tratando de averiguar si es mejor para cruzar la cresta de alta presión hacia el norte o hacia el sur para obtener beneficios a largo plazo. La opción del sur significa permanecer en los vientos alisios e ir más y más rápido, pero hay que cruzar antes. Después de la cresta que tenemos que cruzar un frente que a su vez nos dará fuertes vientos del NW. Cuanto más rápido se cruza la parte delantera, más rápido se encuentra la autopista hacia el Sur La flota está completamente dividida en opiniónes y mi sensación es que probablemente se resolverá la misma al final, pero los que cruzan más tarde será siempre más hacia el oeste y, normalmente, se paga en el largo plazo. Crucemos los dedos el cruce no sea demasiado una lotería! En el original: It hasn't quite been 24 hours since my last update. The Southerly option means you stay in the trades winds longer and go faster, but you have to cross earlier. After the ridge we have to cross a front which will then give us strong NW winds. The quicker you cross the front the quicker you are on the motorway south. The fleet is completely divided in opinion and my feeling is it will probably work out the same in the end but those who cross later will always be further to the west and normally that pays in the long term. Fingers crossed the crossing of the ridge is not too much of a lottery!

Bueno pues os aporto mi experiencia que no es que sea mucha pero creo que suficiente.
La temporada pasada lleve un Moody 45 Ds, desde Vilamoura a San Sebastian. Estuve todo el tiempo navegando entre el "autopista" que baja de Finisterre a San vicente y la costa. Ibamos 2 personas experimentadas a bordo, con muchas millas y os puedo garantizar que navegar por esa zona sin radar es una autentica temeridad. El trafico de pesqueros y mercantes es brutal. Si llevan radar y no lo ponen en esta zona por ahorrar baterías....cuando lo pondrán?  Saludos y rondas pa to el mundo Editado por Optisail en 13-11-2012 a las 12:00.
