Impresionante sí. Yo tambien me hice la pregunta de como conseguía escorar por primera vez el barco y veo que lo responde en la descripción del video en Youtube. Copio-pego:

Entiendo que dice que simplemente hay que virar un poco a estribor o babor para que la fuerza centrífuga empuje los pesos a un lado y que una vez hecho esto ya se mantienen por si solos (de hecho parece decir que si no es porque tiene unos cabos que los sujetan eh horizontal, seguiría escorando más y más). Para volver a acercarlos usa esos cabos enviados a un winch.
