molinete electrico south pacific 1000w

Buenas tardes y unas cuantas rondas para todos los piratas sedientos.
Tengo un problema muy sencillo, el molinete de anclas de mi 30 pies se murió, y despues de darle muchas vueltas e optado por comprar un molinete nuevo. En una tienda local me consiguen el modelo south pacific de 1000w, pero hablando con los de CDI, preguntando por el mismo modelo me dijeron que lo retiraron de catalogo por que daba muchos problemas (dicen que era un molinete mas bien pensado para lagos, que para mar).¿Alguien sabe algo sobre esto? ¿es cierto que da problemas?

Agradeceria informacion sobre este molinete de quien lo tenga y me pueda orientar.

Hola Trasto, de experiencia propia no te puedo aconsejar.
Solo creo recordar que esta hecho en Australia, y se ve muy bien hecho por eso.

Pero tengo una muy positiva respuesta a tu pregunta de un navegante Ingles que lo tiene instalado.

The windlass is terrific. If you buy one make sure it has a rope drum as well as the gipsy. I usually pick up buoys with no tail by feeding warp through the metal eye on the buoy doing this opposite the cockpit where the freeboard is lowest and there are gates in the guardwires, then letting the boat fall back with the tide/wind. We did this twice recently in F8. To get a second warp through for safety once we were lying to the buoy proved impossible; the boat was too far back from the buoy and the whole thing too heavy in that wind. I just put the mooring warp round the rope drum, pulled the boat forward and lifted the buoy up to deck level with the windlass. Easy to feed the second rope through with no frantic leaning and stretching over the bow."
