En palabras de su armador:
- Our project was to leave Brittany for Turkey with two toddlers. Up till then we had navigated in sporty cruises or racing, hence we were looking for a yacht that would be lively at the tiller but capable of bringing us far away securely. The Bongo had us convinced by its maritime qualities: simple to navigate with a reduced crew, lively at the helm, fast downwind and capable of going close upwind in difficult conditions. As for its simplicity, its solidity and its bare interior make it easy to live in and maintain. Luxury amateurs should abstain however life on board offshore is not complicated. As for security, the fact that the yacht is unsinkable is a big plus. So there, after 5 years of exploring the creeks, the Mistral and the Meltem, with surfs at 15 knots while the children were sleeping, we have another project: navigating further away, with the family that has grown in size since then! We thus need a few more meters and this is why, and not without regrets that we are putting our Bongo up for sale...
