te agradezco los consejos. Sobre el tema de las medidas, ellos me dicen que el diámetro máximo con el que trabajan (para el eje) es de 30mm o almenos es lo que me ha parecido entender. Desgraciadamente mi inglés es de pena.

Hello Josep. Thank you for your email, and interest in the Campbell Sailer propeller.

We can accommodate 30mm shaft diameter max. for an ISO 1:10 taper. The best we can do is supply a propeller with a pilot bore. You would have to machine the propeller hub locally to match your shaft taper.

Based on the information that you provided, we would suggest a 3 blade, R/hand 17x10 for your installation. This size is recommended to give you a good cruising rpm and still have reserve for head wind and seas.

The Campbell Sailer has cupped blades and a leading edge foil. This reduces the slip rate, resulting in greater efficiency. To account for this, we often size down 2-3 inches in combined diameter / pitch from other manufacturers to put an equivalent load on the engine.

Many users report greater thrust, improved maneuvering and a smoother running installation when compared to other fixed 3-blade propellers. Also, the narrow blade profile of the Campbell prop allows for reduced drag under sail. Up to 35-40% less when compared to equivalent size units from other manufacturers.

Pricing on a 17" Campbell unit is US $740.00. Upon order, it would take us 8-10 days to build up the propeller. Freight quoted on request. We accept credit card by fax or phone. We also accept PayPal and wire transfer.

Tienes razón, mi barco es americano. Volveré a medir el eje con un pie de rey en pulgadas y les pasaré las medidas en pulgadas tal y como aconsejas.

La verdad es que me ha sorprendido el que recomienden una "talla menos" pero ellos me han dado los mismos argumentos que citas en tu respuesta.
De todas formas he insistido en un mensaje posterior para ver si era viable poner una 18x11
