AC Breaking McLaren Buys Alinghi! Formula One auto racing has been peripherally involved in the AC for years, and given their massive amounts of technology and resources, it only seems natural that somebody would step up, but we didn't see this one coming, certainly not at this time.McLaren team principal Ron Dennis stated "While F1 will always be our primary focus, we have been presented with a tremendous opportunity to get involved right away at the very top level of the America's Cup. The team will be called The McLaren/Mercedes AMG AC Team. We've certainly noted BMW's involvement in the Cup, and we look to move beyond that, in all capacities. Additionaly, we will not be keeping the Alinghi name, as it does to relate to our current branding, image, nor direction we wish to take the team." "We have already committed considerable resources to building a new 90' multihull, with construction already underway at a brand new Mercedes AMG facility. We are excited about the effort, and will release details as we have them." Visitad la web de juanpa cadario para más datos :juanpa-cadario.blogspot.com Editado por maral en 01-04-2008 a las 12:17. |
