Veleros que aguantan el mal tiempo y los que nunca lo haran

Hola a todos, he leido un poco de este interesante post y he visto cofrades molestos despues de conocer que sus veleros( por los que tal vez estan pagando una hipoteca y que ademas de gustarles, les sirven más que bien) tienen unos numeros modestos y son tachados de malos. Poniendome en su pellejo, he escogido un Sun Odyssey 39I con unos numeros tirando a malos y he mirado que hacen los propietarios de un barco tan inseguro. He encontrado un blog interesante:

En el que despues de entregarles el barco en Les Sables, el skipper y compañia se bajan el barco al Mediterraneo. Baleares, Croacia, Turquia, Grecia, Sicilia, vamos lo que se dice una vueltecita, vuelven a Gibraltar, Marruecos, Las Palmas y allí la ARC hasta St.Lucia, un poco vagabundeo por Antigua y mas tarde Granada y Panama.
Despues del paso del canal, Galapagos, Marquesas,Tahiti y por ahora Fidji, donde no se le ve muy preocupado por esos numeros tan malos.

Os pongo unos retazos de su ARC:

We tried not to push this non-bluewater boat too hard but Fandango handled the conditions exceptionally well, giving us an amazing top speed of 13.6 knots for a few seconds hurtling down a wave, though 7 to 8 was the norm. The rolling motion didn't help our speed. During the last week without a pole we dropped down to 6 to 7 knots, which added another day to our time and robbed us of a place around position 30 out of 158

Most of the time the wind was 15 to 20 knots with regular gusts of 25 knots or more and some nasty squalls. Our worst hit 50 knots one evening and stayed above 35 for half an hour with plenty of rain, then around 30 for about two hours.

Sin animo de polemizar y para que estos armadores respiren más tranquilos, me reafirmo en mi opinion, en que lo primero que le da capacidad a un barco para aguantar mal tiempo es la preparacion del barco, la de la tripulacion y su pericia y prudencia marina. Un saludo y unas
